First defragment your hard disk. Accessories> Start defragmentation>. Secondly, maybe you have many programs running in the background. Click Start> Run then type msconfig and disable any programs you think that are not important .. Thirdly, free on your hard disk by unstalling unnecessary programs in Control Panel> Add or Remove Programs.
